The ID falsely identifies Georgescu as a senator and prior for the United States. The Order of Malta confirmed that he is not a member and that such fraudulent documents are being misused in Romania and elsewhere. The ambassador emphasized that these imitation orders exploit the Order's symbols without any legitimate recognition.
