The prosecutor, Radu George Bucurică, had his gun permit revoked a month prior and was found with a knife and a firearm without legal authorization. During the incident, he resisted police, used tear gas, and fired a weapon while being restrained. The investigation is being conducted by the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Alba Iulia Court of Appeal.
