Privatizare TAP: Oferte de peste 1 miliard de euro
Lufthansa and Air France-KLM are competing to acquire a minority stake in TAP Portugal, with offers exceeding 1 billion euros. The Portuguese government activated a clause for improved bids after initial offers were closely matched. Both airlines have included options for future total acquisition. TAP's strategic assets are crucial for Southern Europe, especially for transatlantic routes. Despite receiving significant state aid post-pandemic, TAP reported a net loss of 99 million euros in the first half of the year. The selected investor will be announced in mid-October after a financial audit.
