The French Court of Cassation has rejected Paul Philip of Romania's appeal against his extradition for serving a prison sentence. This decision follows a series of previous refusals and is seen as a significant success for Romanian judicial authorities. Philip, 77, was convicted in Romania for involvement in illegal property restitution linked to the royal family, with a total of 18 individuals sentenced in the case. His extradition was initially denied by French courts, citing disproportionate measures, but was later approved by the Paris Court of Appeal. Philip's legal team argued that his situation had not changed and that he might not receive fair treatment in Romania.
