Primul tren regional PESA circulă pe ruta București Nord-Brașov. Miruță: „Mi s-a spus că nu pot fi puse în funcțiune”
The first PESA regional train has commenced commercial service between Bucharest Nord and Brașov, with additional trains set to follow. The interim Minister of Transport, Radu Miruță, highlighted the previous neglect of these trains, which were found in poor condition. The new trains are equipped with modern amenities, enhancing passenger comfort. A total of 62 electric trains are planned to improve energy efficiency in rail transport, funded by the Modernization Fund and state budget. The project aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and promote rail transport as a sustainable alternative.
