The first electric train PESA in Romania will operate on the Bucharest Nord – Brașov route, following a last-minute schedule change. Initially, it was set for Bucharest – Constanța. The first PESA train will depart this afternoon towards Brașov and return to the capital later. Five electric trains will serve routes including Bucharest Nord – Obor – Fetești – Constanța. Another five trains will be delivered next week to a private operator for Bucharest Nord – Roșiori Nord. The acquisition of 62 PESA regional electric trains is part of a modernization project funded by the EU, totaling over 2.7 billion lei.
