Primul muzeu în aer liber din România trece la iluminatul solar. Investiție de 107.000 de lei la Cluj

The National Ethnographic Park "Romulus Vuia" in Cluj-Napoca has been fully illuminated with a photovoltaic system, following a 107,000 lei investment by the Cluj County Council. This system includes 180 solar LED poles, 20 projectors, and 20 solar light installations, aimed at enhancing visitor safety and showcasing the park's heritage. The new lighting can be adjusted as needed, addressing the lack of viable public lighting options in the park. Over 50,000 visitors came to the park in the first nine months of 2026, with a 20% annual increase in visitor numbers over the past five years. Established in 1929, the park is the first of its kind in Romania, featuring traditional Transylvanian households and structures. In 2026, fire detection system studies were also conducted for the Icon Workshop in Piața Ștefan cel Mare, which houses heritage items and a restoration workshop.
