Primul mare oraș din România care rămâne fără apă. Priza din Dunăre nu mai face față
For 24 hours, half of Galați will experience water shortages as the operator connects the water intake from the Danube to a deeper water source. This action aims to prevent future restrictions due to historical low water levels caused by drought. Over 100,000 residents are affected, with local authorities providing cisterns for those unprepared. The Danube's current level is critically low, prompting the need for this strategic intervention to ensure continuous water supply. Similar restrictions are affecting around 300 localities across the country, with many facing severe water shortages due to prolonged drought conditions.
