A successful organ and tissue donation took place at Alba Iulia Emergency County Hospital, marking the first such event in 15 years. A 38-year-old donor in brain death provided organs for transplant to patients in Romania and abroad. A Black Hawk helicopter was mobilized for the operation, transporting medical teams and blood components. The newly established medical team at the hospital enabled this intervention, which involved coordination with teams from Germany and Switzerland. Organs were successfully transplanted, highlighting the importance of timely transport in organ donation.
