Primul Centru Mare de Colectare prin Aport Voluntar din România a fost inaugurat la Cluj

The first large Voluntary Contribution Collection Center in Romania was inaugurated in Cluj-Napoca, funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan. This facility allows residents to dispose of non-standard waste for free, including old furniture, mattresses, tires, construction debris, and electronic equipment. The investment exceeded 27.4 million lei, with additional VAT costs. The center aims to facilitate the recycling of materials like wood, metal, plastic, and paper, contributing to a circular economy. The Minister of Environment emphasized the importance of such facilities in preventing illegal waste disposal and providing accessible collection solutions. More smaller centers will be established across Romania soon.
