TAROM's first Boeing 737 MAX aircraft has successfully arrived in Bucharest after a ferry flight from Seattle, with a second aircraft expected soon. The first plane is named after Mircea Lucescu, while the second will honor Ivan Patzaichin. The airline signed a leasing contract for two Boeing 737 MAX 8s, originally scheduled for delivery in late 2025, but the timeline has been postponed. The interim Minister of Transport plans to propose a project for TAROM's future and will present a financial plan to the European Commission.
