Mihai Ardelean, the first student from Bihor to qualify for the International Mathematical Olympiad, returned home with a silver medal from Shanghai. He was warmly welcomed at Oradea Airport by family, friends, and teachers. Mihai expressed his joy and surprise at the reception, sharing that he initially aimed to avoid embarrassment rather than win a medal. He praised Shanghai as a modern city and is now looking forward to a well-deserved break after intense preparations. School officials highlighted his achievement as unprecedented for Bihor, emphasizing the importance of hard work alongside talent. Mihai hopes to participate again next year.
