Primii deţinuţi au sosit din Suedia în Estonia, în baza unui acord privind transferul între penitenciare
Four Swedish prisoners have arrived in Estonia to serve their sentences, marking the beginning of a transfer agreement between the two countries. This initiative aims to alleviate overcrowding in Swedish prisons by relocating up to 600 inmates to Tartu prison. The agreement allows Estonia to reject certain prisoners and prohibits temporary releases. Sweden's efforts to combat violent crime have led to increased pressure on its prison system, while Estonia has available prison space.
