The Romanian Army has received its first locally produced Cobra II armored vehicles, part of a contract exceeding 850 million euros. This agreement with Otokar includes the delivery of 1,059 vehicles, with over 780 to be manufactured in Romania, enhancing the national defense industry. The Cobra II vehicles are tailored to meet the operational needs of Romanian soldiers and feature advanced capabilities such as 4x4 mobility, modular design, and improved ballistic protection. The project also emphasizes technology transfer and job creation in the defense sector.
