Primele vehicule blindate COBRA II, produse în România, au fost recepționate de MApN

The Romanian Ministry of National Defense has received the first COBRA II armored vehicles, marking a significant step for the Romanian Army's modernization and national defense industry development. The acquisition is part of a broader commitment to enhance defense investments as agreed at the NATO Summit in The Hague in 2025. A contract with Otokar for 1,059 vehicles was signed in November 2024, valued at approximately 4.263 billion RON. By mid-May 2026, 276 vehicles had been delivered, with plans for 216 more this year, contributing to local production and job creation.
