Primele vehicule blindate COBRA II fabricate în România au fost recepționate de MApN

The Romanian Ministry of National Defense has received the first COBRA II armored vehicles, marking a significant step in the country's defense capabilities and industrial development. This acquisition aligns with NATO's commitment to increase defense investments by 2025, emphasizing technological transfer and job creation. A multi-year contract with Otokar for 1,059 vehicles, valued at approximately 4.263 billion RON, was signed in November 2024. By May 2026, 276 vehicles had been delivered, with production in Romania starting in 2026. This year, 216 vehicles are expected to be delivered, contributing to the overall contract fulfillment.
