Primele locomotive Traxx intră în circulație

The first five of the 16 Traxx electric locomotives purchased by the Romanian Railway Reform Authority have been received and will operate on specific routes. This marks a significant step in modernizing Romania's aging rail fleet, aiming to provide more reliable and efficient services. The locomotives can reach speeds of up to 200 km/h and are designed to pull up to 16 passenger cars. The contract for these locomotives, valued at 767 million lei, includes a 20-year maintenance agreement, funded by the Modernization Fund.
