Apple has unveiled its first foldable smartphone, the iPhone Duo, at the "Surprise and Shine" event in Cupertino. Pre-orders will start in the US on October 16, with sales beginning on October 23. The device features a 5.4-inch exterior display and a 7.6-inch interior display, both supporting ProMotion and high brightness. The iPhone Duo is priced starting at $1,999, slightly higher than Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 8. It boasts a nearly invisible crease, a titanium frame, and dual 48MP rear cameras. The device runs on Apple's A20 Pro chip and offers 24 hours of regular use on a single charge. Notably, it replaces Face ID with Touch ID integrated into a side button. The iPhone Duo will be available in 70 countries starting October 23, but no release date for Romania has been announced.
