OMV Petrom and SNGN ROMGAZ S.A. expect the first gas production from the Neptun Deep offshore project to enter the National Transport System in the first half of 2027. Following the successful installation of the Neptun Alpha production platform, the project is progressing as planned, allowing for a more precise timeline for key stages. Once gas reaches the entry point, production will gradually increase, with a plateau expected by the end of Q3 2027. The project aims to enhance Romania's energy security and position it as a leader in natural gas production in the EU. Significant progress has been made, including the installation of the offshore pipeline and completion of several production wells. The project has an estimated recoverable volume of 100 billion cubic meters and a development cost of 4 billion EUR, with a carbon footprint significantly below industry average.
