A mixed team from the Railway Reform Authority and Alstom has received five new Traxx Passenger electric locomotives for CFR Călători. These locomotives will be used for public transport services after registration in the European Vehicle Register. The project aims to enhance energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions in rail transport by replacing older locomotives. The total project value is approximately 441.78 million lei, funded by the Modernization Fund, with implementation scheduled for 31 months.
