Primele blindate COBRA II fabricate în România

Otokar has delivered the first batch of COBRA II armored vehicles to the Romanian Land Forces, marking the start of a contract for 1,059 units. The Mediaș factory is Otokar's first production facility in the EU, focusing on local manufacturing and technology transfer. By 2026, 216 vehicles are expected to be fully produced in Romania, with plans to increase the workforce to around 400 employees. The COBRA II model, launched in 2013, is widely used internationally, with over 1,000 units delivered to various NATO and allied countries.
