Drivers are experiencing significant delays, with travel times increasing from 15 to 50 minutes. Mayor Ciprian Ciucu had previously promised improvements to the Dimitrie Pompeiu Boulevard, but expansion projects remain unfulfilled and delayed until 2029. Ciucu acknowledges the necessity of these construction works for future urban development, despite the current inconvenience. The situation is exacerbated by additional tramway construction and a contested railway crossing project, further complicating traffic flow.
