Primarul Ciprian Ciucu vrea interzicerea maşinilor poluante în Capitală. Când începe prima etapă

The mayor of Bucharest, Ciprian Ciucu, plans to progressively ban polluting cars from the city by 2032, starting with non-Euro vehicles in November 2024. A proposal will be submitted to the General Council for approval, inspired by similar measures in other European capitals. By 2027, non-Euro cars should be banned from the city center, with a complete ban by 2028. The initiative aims to reduce pollution, which has been linked to health issues and deaths in the city. The local police currently lack the authority to enforce these restrictions, and the mayor also proposes subsidies for residents not connected to natural gas systems to switch to cleaner heating methods.
