Primarul Ciprian Ciucu vrea interzicerea maşinilor poluante în Capitală. Când începe prima etapă

The mayor of Bucharest, Ciprian Ciucu, plans to progressively ban polluting cars from the city by 2032, starting with non-Euro vehicles in November 2024. The initiative aims for zero emissions and is inspired by similar measures in other European capitals. A proposal will be drafted for the General Council's approval, with a focus on reducing pollution-related health issues. The plan includes phasing out Euro 1 to Euro 4 cars from the city center and eventually all of Bucharest. However, enforcement details remain unclear, and the city must comply with EU emission reduction targets by 2030. Additionally, subsidies for transitioning to natural gas heating are being considered.
