Interim Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan announced the signing of orders for two modernization programs totaling 650 million euros, enabling public institutions to produce and store energy for their own use. The first program, worth 500 million euros, focuses on installing photovoltaic panels and storage batteries, while the second, with a budget of 150 million euros, targets institutions with existing renewable energy systems. Eligible beneficiaries include municipalities, public hospitals, and state universities, with funding covering up to 100% of eligible expenses. Applications open on September 11, 2023, and must be submitted by November 6, 2026, or until the budget is exhausted. These investments aim to reduce energy costs and enhance the efficiency of renewable energy use.
