The mayor of Timișoara, Dominic Fritz, has signed a contract for urban regeneration works in the Mocioni Square area, marking the city's second major project this year. The initiative aims to transform over 26,000 square meters into a greener public space with extended pedestrian areas, bike lanes, and improved public transport facilities. The project also includes the installation of new traffic lights and parking spaces, enhancing safety for all road users. The investment totals nearly 40 million lei, funded through European grants and local budget, with a completion timeline of 30 months.
