The Suceava City Hall has installed life-sized mannequins at pedestrian crossings near schools to alert drivers about children's presence. The initiative aims to enhance road safety by creating a realistic street scenario. The colorful mannequins, designed to resemble real children, carry backpacks and are intended to prompt drivers to slow down. This project will be expanded to 15 pedestrian crossings in high-risk areas. The vice mayor emphasized that this measure complements the installation of anti-slip red mats at crosswalks.
