Primăria Sibiu explică „pădurea” de indicatoare de pe strada Ogorului: „Siguranța participanților la trafic nu poate fi negociată”

The Sibiu City Hall addressed citizen complaints regarding the excessive number of traffic signs on Ogorului Street, stating that the signs are necessary for safety and comply with legal standards. Despite concerns about visual clutter, officials emphasized that safety regulations take precedence over aesthetics. The installation of 139 signs, costing over 50,000 lei, was legally approved and based on multiple traffic standards. Technical reasons for the high number of signs include the relocation of utilities, pedestrian crossings, intersections with side streets, and bike lanes, all requiring specific signage to ensure safety for all road users.
