Sibiu's local government is initiating a feasibility study for a suburban train system to enhance urban mobility and reduce traffic emissions. The project aims to connect key areas of the city and surrounding regions, with a proposed route of approximately 16 kilometers. The municipality is inviting experienced designers to submit proposals by August 24, with a budget of 7.5 million lei and a completion timeline of 18 months. The project includes upgrading existing rail infrastructure and establishing new stations.
