The Prundu Bârgăului Municipality is suing the Ministry of Education for damages due to the blocking of funds for a new school campus. Initially funded through PNRR, the project worth 7.5 million euros faced funding cuts by the government. Mayor Doru Crișan claims the decision lacks legal basis and criticizes the central management for not understanding local issues. With over 90% of construction completed, the municipality is incurring penalties for unpaid invoices. The educational hub includes modern classrooms, robotics labs, a dormitory, cafeteria, and sports facilities.
