Sibiu's new Intelligent Traffic System aims to reduce congestion and prioritize public transport, set to launch by the end of summer. The project includes the installation of 163 traffic lights and sensors to optimize traffic flow. Emergency vehicles will receive automatic priority at intersections, improving response times. The system also enhances pedestrian safety with request buttons at crossings. Final technical tests are underway, with full operation expected by August 30.
