Primăria Municipiului Timișoara deschide al doilea mare șantier de regenerare urbană din cartierele istorice

The Timișoara City Hall will begin transforming Piața Mocioni into a green space with pedestrian areas next month. The project covers over 26,000 square meters in the historic Iosefin neighborhood, including new sidewalks, public transport lanes, and bike paths. A fountain with water and light features will be added, along with improved traffic safety measures. Funded by the Regional West Program 2021-2027, the project will take 30 months and cost approximately 39.8 million lei. Traffic will be reorganized to enhance safety, with changes to circulation patterns and pedestrian crossings. The aim is to create a vibrant public space that encourages community engagement.
