Primăria Capitalei vrea să suspende acordarea stimulentelor pentru persoanele adulte cu handicap și să elimine voucher-ul Materna / Modificare și privind ajutorul de 2000 lei pentru nou-născuți
The City Hall of Bucharest proposes to suspend financial aid for adults with disabilities and eliminate the Materna vouchers due to budget constraints. The decision will be made by the General Council on August 28. The suspension aims to address a debt of over 650 million lei in unpaid benefits, which has been accumulating since 2025. The Materna vouchers, introduced in 2018, are also set to be removed as prenatal services are already covered by the national health system. Additionally, the newborn incentive will only be available to disadvantaged mothers. AUR party opposes these changes, citing the negative impact on vulnerable populations.
