Primăria Capitalei a amenajat prima trecere de pietoni inteligentă din Bucureşti. Cum funcţionează

Bucharest has inaugurated its first smart pedestrian crossing, utilizing technology to enhance safety for pedestrians. Sensors detect crossing intentions, activating lights to alert drivers. Located on Chitilei Road at the intersection with Prahovei Street, this pilot project aims to address common urban issues where drivers become desensitized to constant flashing lights. The system employs three detection methods to ensure lights activate only when necessary, improving visibility for both drivers and visually impaired individuals. This initiative serves as a test for intelligent traffic management in the city.
