The mayor of Bucharest, Ciprian Ciucu, announced a monthly financial aid of 250 lei for adults with disabilities until the city's debts are settled. This decision aims to address the accumulated debts of nearly 700 million lei owed to these individuals. Ciucu emphasized the need for budgetary sustainability, stating that the current social program is no longer financially viable. He assured that payments will be made monthly until the debts are cleared by 2030, while also calling for the suspension of new applications to manage the existing obligations.
