Brașov's municipality is initiating the construction of a new road linking Astra and Noua neighborhoods through the former Roman industrial site. A contract worth 13,500 lei has been signed with Danina Star for the technical documentation needed to identify affected properties, with a maximum expropriation area of 25,000 square meters. The project includes a 1,059-meter road with four lanes, sidewalks, green spaces, and a roundabout at the intersection with Prunului street. The investment cost has been reduced from 41.2 million to approximately 28.2 million lei after a technical reassessment. The new road aims to improve traffic flow and connectivity in southern Brașov, with an estimated construction duration of 16 months.
