The Brașov City Hall has issued a construction permit for the urban regeneration project on Castanilor Street, which includes uncovering a section of the Timiș canal and creating a water organ feature. This initiative aims to enhance the area between the Civic Center and the Historic Center, improving urban aesthetics and reducing heat island effects. The project, estimated at 9.28 million lei, is set to last 12 months and will transform the current concrete-dominated space into a greener urban environment. The water organ is expected to attract both locals and tourists, linking important cultural institutions.
