The Dutch public broadcaster AvroTros announced its boycott of Eurovision 2027, citing a loss of neutrality in the competition. This marks the second consecutive year of withdrawal. The decision follows a decline in viewership and protests from several countries over Israel's participation. AvroTros's director emphasized that international conflicts are undermining the contest's neutral character, turning it into a divisive platform. Other countries, including Iceland, Spain, Ireland, and Slovenia, have also withdrawn, with some refusing to broadcast the event.
