Prima stea verde a fost descoperită în galaxie. Astronomii nu au mai văzut așa ceva până acum • Newsweek România
Astronomers have discovered a white dwarf star that may appear green due to its unique atmospheric composition and density. This finding marks the first reliable identification of a green star in the galaxy. The star, with a temperature of around 4,000 degrees Celsius, contains elements like calcium, lithium, and sodium, which influence its light spectrum. Although the green hue has not been directly observed, it is inferred from spectral analysis. This discovery suggests that white dwarfs could exhibit a wider range of colors than previously thought, depending on their atmospheric conditions.
