He emphasized that the funds were fully allocated to Colterm for gas purchases and not misappropriated. Lațcău noted that Timișoara, like other Romanian cities, received government support during the energy crisis. He criticized the accusations of undue benefits, stating that all funds were used appropriately for heating services. The investigation targets the entire city administration for alleged abuse of office, which Lațcău and former mayor Dominic Fritz deny, asserting no funds were stolen.
