The National Bank of Romania will release a rectangular silver coin dedicated to Romanian painters on August 24, 2026. The first coin features Nicolae Tonitza's painting 'Yellow Flowers' and has a nominal value of 10 lei. It is part of a limited edition of 500 pieces, priced at 1,150 lei, including a presentation brochure and authenticity certificate. The coin will be available through regional branches of the bank.
