The Romanian Parliament has approved an amendment to unblock hiring for vacant health positions, addressing a significant personnel deficit. Former Health Minister Alexandru Rogobete highlighted the need for around 10,000 medical staff, while the overall deficit is estimated between 26,000 and 30,000. The financial impact for filling these vacancies is projected at approximately 1.1 billion lei. The legislative project must also pass the Senate before being promulgated. Health Minister Cseke Attila emphasized the ongoing challenges in healthcare staffing across Romania.
