The Ministry of Investments and European Projects has distributed a teaching career bonus of 1,500 lei to over 183,000 educators for the 2025-2026 school year. This total payment amounts to 275.13 million lei, funded by non-reimbursable European funds. Teachers can use the funds until August 31, 2027, provided they remain in the education system, with at least 975 lei allocated for professional development courses. Eligible expenses include educational materials, digital resources, and participation in educational events. If a teacher leaves the system, any unspent funds will be withdrawn. The bonus is tax-exempt and aims to support professional growth in education.
