Huawei Romania, Bamboo Energy, and Flexumers have partnered to develop a solution that monetizes distributed backup batteries in telecommunications. The platform will dynamically manage energy storage and discharge, adapting to market demands. Initially, a limited number of batteries will be implemented, with plans for national expansion. This initiative aims to transform traditionally unused batteries into a Virtual Power Plant, generating revenue through price arbitrage and ancillary services. The collaboration highlights the potential of distributed batteries to enhance grid flexibility and support renewable energy integration.
