The first mountain cabin in Romania, Cabana Postăvaru, celebrated its 143rd anniversary. Built between 1881 and 1883, it was initially named "Schulerhütte". The cabin was constructed by Hungarian and Saxon craftsmen and later expanded until 1935. It was officially inaugurated as "Julius Römer-Hütte" in honor of the first president of the Transylvanian Carpathian Association.
