Prețurile la curentul electric pun presiune pe economie și populație: „Va fi un impact foarte grav în această iarnă”

Romania faces a challenging winter due to the energy crisis, with rising energy prices severely impacting consumers, warns energy expert Dan Drăgan. He criticizes excessive regulation in the energy market, which hinders sector development. Drăgan predicts that new energy projects may slow down significantly after 2027, emphasizing the need for more independent producers and competition. He highlights that recent legislative changes, combined with two major economic crises, are adversely affecting end-users. The expert stresses that the rising energy prices will have a serious impact this winter, yet policymakers seem to overlook the situation. He notes significant contracts signed for network development and interconnection capacities, while also mentioning Romania's energy imports when necessary. Drăgan calls for urgent discussions to address the market's 1.4 GW shortfall, which represents nearly 20% of consumption.
