Prețurile energiei au explodat în România: peste 500 de euro pentru un MWh în orele de vârf, iar scumpirile se vor vedea în facturi
Cristian Bușoi, Secretary of State in the Ministry of Energy, discussed the current energy crisis, highlighting high prices and potential power outages. He noted that daily prices on the Day Ahead Market have reached around 200 euros/MWh, with peaks over 500 euros/MWh, impacting consumer bills. The heatwave affects energy production, but wind energy is expected to cover a significant part of consumption. The Turceni power plant's Group 5 is offline for repairs, while Cernavodă's reactors were halted due to low water levels in the Danube. Authorities are taking measures to reduce import dependency, including restarting Unit 4 at Rovinari. Bușoi emphasized that limiting energy consumption for large companies would be a last resort, and there are no plans to close supermarkets or malls.
