Preţurile de referinţă la gaze în Europa au trecut de 100 de euro pe MWh

Natural gas prices in Europe have surpassed 100 euros per MWh for the first time since December 2022, driven by geopolitical tensions and low storage levels ahead of winter. As of 14:05 GMT, futures at the Amsterdam TTF exchange rose by 4.34% to 99.97 euros per MWh, briefly exceeding 100.30 euros. The ongoing conflict in the Middle East has contributed to rising energy costs, affecting households and industries. Analysts predict high gas prices will persist as Europe needs to replenish historically low reserves, currently at about 75%. This surge impacts consumer bills and has led some industries reliant on natural gas to cut production.
