Fuel prices in Romania remain high as of October 16, with gasoline and diesel exceeding 10 lei per liter. The cheapest gasoline is found at TEAutohof in Orțișoara at 10.05 lei per liter, while the lowest diesel price is at VhExtraOil in Eforie Nord at 10.75 lei. In major cities, gasoline prices range from 10.09 to 10.11 lei per liter, with minimal differences. Diesel prices are slightly higher, with the lowest at 10.83 lei in Timișoara. LPG prices are also noted, with Bucharest having the lowest at 4.64 lei per liter. The Ministry of Finance has extended the 25% reduction in diesel excise until October 31, 2026, to mitigate market pressures.
