On September 17, fuel prices in Romania show significant regional differences, with the cheapest gasoline at 9.82 lei/liter in Dâmbovița. Cluj-Napoca offers the lowest prices among major cities at 9.89 lei/liter. Diesel is also cheapest in Dâmbovița at 10.28 lei/liter, while Timișoara has the lowest diesel price among large cities at 10.61 lei/liter. The Ministry of Finance continues a temporary 25% reduction in excise duty on standard diesel until September 30, 2026, following a bi-monthly evaluation under Law 162/2026.
